I used to believe that a teachers review should include the scores of their children, after student tests are supposed to be a measure of what was taught. Teachers Unions have long fought against this process and don’t feel it would be fair to be judged on the products they turn out; the student. If you were hired to make widgets and less than 67% passed quality control you would be out of a job; so why should it be different for a teacher. By the way, that is how we are currently measuring up against many other countries when comparing education globally. So is it fair to be evaluated based on the students scores?
